Kia ora and welcome to our website. Wellington’s very own Taputeranga Marine Reserve is a spectacular place to walk, kayak, snorkel, dive, surf, rockpool or simply watch. With support from the community it was created in August 2008. The reserve lies amongst three oceanic currents. These provide for a diverse range of plants and animals. The Taputeranga marine reserve trust was formed to help bring the reserve to the people. We welcome your feedback, stories and photos.
